This place is a classic staple. I love the hash browns. The staff is funny. They have juke boxes at the table and they hook up to a little thing where the dolls dance along to the music. Especially good after you've been drinking. They used to have 24 hour service but don't anymore. I usually call before I go.
Perfect greasy spoon for breakfast the morning after Zach Top! Tonya and Jewell took amazing care of us and the food was great. It has so much charm- give me this over a chain any day!
I was struggling between 3 1/2 to 4 stars and I landed on 4 because the charm and the delicious food. This place is the epitome of a dive diner. Anchor Grill has great breakfast, lunch and dinner options, with prices that you truly cannot beat. The servers were very friendly and attentive-even on a busy Sunday. Not a place to go to for a quick meal, but the food is worth the wait! *note:cash only, but they do have an ATM* One of the things that landed Anchor Grill almost at 3 stars is that they still spoke inside :/ it wasn't too bad, but cigs and eggs aren't a great combo. I didn't smell too terribly when I left, but people were lighting up at 11am. Still would definitely go back!
There's something special about a local diner with the same decor and interior for the last 50 years. This place is truly a staple and I come here with friends every morning after a night out. I love this place!
Sassy, but kind waitstaff, great ambiance, stellar food. What else could you want? I'm very particular about my hashbrowns. Very. A soggy portion of hashbrowns is a meal ruined. These were by far the best hashbrowns I've been served in this city. They understood the assignment and knocked it out of the park. Not only that, but they put a Cincinnati amount of cheese on them. I had the pork tenderloin with brown gravy and it was great. My husband had the grilled pork chop and he loved his as well. We will definitely be back. More food than we could possibly eat with two beers a piece was $30. You can't beat that.
